One of These Seven Students Will Win $1,000

By Jason Bottlinger on May 23, 2019

The team at Bottlinger Law L.L.C. is gearing up to announce a winner for our Bowties and Books Scholarship 2019, and we’re starting by introducing our seven finalists!

This year, we had a brand-new prompt and received over 1,800 thoughtful essay responses from people around the country. We are looking forward to presenting a check for $1,000 to the high school or college student who wins—but we still have to choose them!

We asked everyone who applied to share the same decision-making process with us:

  • The experiences we have at each school we attend impact the people we become. Why did you choose the college you will be attending, and how you hope that school will influence your future?

And we are pleased to introduce those five finalists to you right now. In no particular order, congratulations to:

  • Chloe J. – Omaha, NE
  • Madison T. – Cincinnati, OH
  • Sophia S. – Orono, ME
  • Viraj S. – Glendale, AZ
  • Aline P. – La Mirada, CA
  • Shannon L. – Dane, WI
  • Anna B. – Furlong, PA

At Bottlinger Law L.L.C., we want to encourage and empower community leaders. That’s why we offer this annual scholarship—not only to give back, but to stress the importance of education and forming strong ties with one’s peers. We’ll be announcing the winner on June 6, 2019. Be sure to check back on our blog and Facebook!

Congratulations once again to our finalists, and thank you to everyone who applied. We wish wonderful things for you all.
