Pickup Trucks Vs. Sedans: A Lose-Lose Situation
Pickups are incredibly useful for Nebraska drivers. For those that work in the construction, agricultural, or industrial industries, these vehicles allow you to easily transport equipment and materials to job sites. Some households will even call upon a pickup driver to help with moving furniture or DIY projects. But, unfortunately, most pickups fall behind other vehicles when it comes to safety.
Tragic Omaha Motorcycle Accident Points to Dangerous Driving Behaviors
A recent accident at the intersection of 132nd Street and Industrial Road has highlighted the reckless driving behaviors that have become commonplace on Omaha roadways. On August 20th, a semi-trailer ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a motorcyclist. Seat Belt Syndrome Explained
Seat belts are one of the safest components in a vehicle and their use saves millions of lives each year that would otherwise be lost in tragic car accidents. However, that does not mean you may not suffer medical complications when you wear a seatbelt. They are designed to prevent severe and fatal injuries by absorbing the impact of a high-speed vehicle, but that does mean you will always walk away from an accident with a clean bill of health. In some cases, you may develop a condition known as seatbelt syndrome.
Sharing the Road With Nebraska Farmers
Agriculture is an important industry in Nebraska, having contributed more than $21 billion to the state’s economy in a single recent year, as reported by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA). Harvest seasons vary, depending on the crop, but when the season is in progress, you can expect to see more tractors, agricultural vehicles, and farm equipment on public roadways. While these vehicles are invaluable to Nebraska’s economic growth, sharing the roads with farming equipment poses multiple risks to other drivers.
Why You Should File a Hit and Run Claim
Despite it being illegal, some drivers flee the scene of an accident. They choose to take this action for many reasons – avoiding insurance claims, evading arrest if they know they’re driving while drunk, or other reasons. Unfortunately, victims of a hit-and-run are left injured and unable to file a claim against an unknown negligent driver.
