Bottlinger Law L.L.C. Reveals the 3rd “Bowties and Books” Scholarship for 2020

Over the past two years, Bottlinger Law, L.L.C. has had the honor of hosting a $1,000 nationwide scholarship for students looking to further their education. We were so impressed by the passionate essays that we received, that we chose not just to award one exceptional student, but TWO with a $1,000 scholarship. This year, we’d like to take it one step further. So, without further ado, we are once again opening our inbox to applications for our “Bowties and Books” Scholarship, with an award of $2,500!

Every year, young scholars select from thousands of colleges and universities to make their home, and we want to hear about your choices in a well-written essay:

• In 500 to 1,000 words, why did you choose the college you will be attending and how do you hope that school will influence your future?

Attorney Jason Bottlinger and his wife began their higher education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and have always considered themselves proud Huskers. His time there marked the first steps on his path to studying law in at Baylor University, defending insurance companies in Houston, and ultimately returning to Omaha to fight for the rights of everyday people. Those first steps shaped the person who he would ultimately become, and now we want to hear about the person you dream of becoming.

All applications should be submitted by April 15, 2020. This scholarship is open to high school seniors and college students in good standing with their school. United States citizens, permanent residents, and DACA recipients are welcome to apply. Please refer to the full list of requirements here.

Once we have thoroughly reviewed all applications, we will announce our finalists on June 3, 2020. Finalists may be contacted to confirm details regarding their application.
