And the 2021 Bowties and Books Finalists Are…

Since announcing the 2021 Bowties and Books Scholarship, Bottlinger Law L.L.C. has been busy reading each applicant’s essay. This was a difficult task given the fact that we received over 1,000 applications, but our team was up for the challenge. Following an intense and lively debate, we have decided on 5 finalists for the 4^th annual Bowties and Books Scholarship, one of whom will go on to win a $2,500 scholarship!

Join us in congratulation the 2021 finalists of the Bowties and Books Scholarship:

• Sabrina D. – Omaha, Nebraska
• Cynthia W. – Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland
• Olivia S. – Hemlock, New York
• Kaylee S. – Gretna, Nebraska

Each applicant was challenged to write a 500-1,000-word essay on the following prompt and took to the task with gusto:

Why did you choose the college you will be attending and how do you hope that school will influence your future?

The entire team at Bottlinger Law L.L.C. was deeply moved by your essays and impressed at the creativity each of you showed. Your devotion to your education and plans for the future are truly inspiring. Our founding attorney, Jason Bottlinger, and his wife Rachel wholeheartedly believe in cutting down barriers for today’s youth and supporting hardworking students, which is why they launched the Bowties and Books Scholarship. Reading your essays was a pleasant reminder of how important an education can be, emboldening us to continue finding ways to help our community.

The winner of the Bowties and Books Scholarship and the $2,500 prize will be announced on June 3, 2021. As you all anxiously await the announcement, we encourage you to read past winner’s essays and pay attention to our blog and Facebook page for further announcements.
