Bottlinger Law L.L.C. Has Chosen Two Winners!
We at Bottlinger Law L.L.C. asked for a lot from our 2019 Bowties and Books Scholarship applicants. We wanted to know why they chose the college they did, and how they hope this school experience will influence their future. We wanted an engaging story in 500-1,000 words.
Well, the responses we received were delightful.
Students across the United States went above and beyond, giving us thoughtful, well-written essays. Just as Jason Bottlinger went to law school in Texas and then came home to Nebraska to start his law firm, close to family and friends, so many of our applicants plan to go to school far away from home. Those years of independence will become indispensable in shaping them as adults, and the lessons learned won’t all be in the lecture hall.
Since choosing our five finalists on May 22nd, we’ve made the tough choice: picking our winner. So tough, in fact, that we had to go with two! So without further ado…
Congratulations, Chloe J. from Omaha, NE, and Viraj S. from Glendale, AZ!
You have each won $1,000 toward post-secondary educational expenses! We were especially impressed by what you’ve achieved already at such a young age, and encourage you to continue in your passion, from Chloe’s goal of uncovering the roots of Alzheimer’s to Viraj’s advocacy for multicultural understanding. Who knows? Perhaps we’ll be reading your name in headlines! To view their essays, and meet our previous winners, click here.
Our legal team at Bottlinger Law L.L.C. would also like to extend a hearty “thank you” to everyone who applied. We loved getting to know you through your essays, and we encourage you to try again next year. See our blog and Facebook page for updates!
No effort you make to improve yourself is ever wasted, so we hope that writing your story reminded you of where you come from… and where you’re going! Best of luck as you embark on your college career.
